MD Series Telescopic Masts
The MD Series telescopic masts. These masts are ideal for applications requiring a wind-exposed surface area below 18 square meters, as well as environments where lower lifting capacity is sufficient. Similar to the HDN Series, the design of the MD masts is based on comprehensive evaluation of the most advanced products manufactured in Europe and the United States. While preserving their strengths, all identified weaknesses and limitations of foreign equivalents have been completely resolved through intelligent and optimized engineering, resulting in a uniquely superior product With both domestic and international patent registrations in progress, replication or reverse engineering of this product by other manufacturers is not possible, making the MD Series an exclusive and proprietary solution.
Additional Advantages of the MD Series
The system is designed to remove key failure risks found in conventional mast products by eliminating cable cutting at the piston connection point and preventing wire rope fatigue, corrosion, and pulley damage. Full circumferential guide support protects mast tubes from deformation under wind load, while optimized geometry blocks contaminant ingress. A redesigned spirit level improves usability in rough ground conditions, and predefined cable routing prevents interference between guy wires and lifting cables. The first mast section uses high-strength webbing instead of wire rope, avoiding breakage, reverse-rotation cutting, and drum abrasion, resulting in longer service life and reduced maintenance.
Supplementary Notes and Ordering Information
Listed weights in tables indicate maximum mast weight without winch; manual or electric winch weight must be added separately
MD Series is part of the company’s standard product portfolio
For lifting capacities higher than published values, consult the Technical Department
Example order code: MD-128-6-15 → MD Series mast, 128 mm base tube diameter, 6 telescopic sections, 15 m extended height
Specifications are subject to change without prior notice — request the technical annex for the exact model when ordering
Gravity-descent system models require a minimum external load of 10 kg for proper operation
Symmetrical loading is mandatory; heavy off-center loads can cause structural damage
Off-center loading is allowed only for lightweight payloads
Maximum wind-exposed surface area (guyed): up to 0.8 m²
Lifting capacity can be increased on request using a higher-capacity winch
Upgraded winch configurations may add up to 20 kg extra weight
For loads exceeding catalog values, contact the Technical Department for customized solutions
Maintainability Advantages of the MD Series
Conventional legacy mast designs commonly available in the regional market are virtually non-serviceable. In contrast, the MD Series telescopic masts have been engineered from the ground up with a maintenance-centric design philosophy, offering the following decisive advantages :
Complete removal of any mast tube and piston assembly without disassembling the lower tube gland
Full removal of any tube and piston without cutting the lifting cable
Entire mast can be disassembled using only an Allen key no special or proprietary tools required
Field repair and cable replacement possible with simple hand tools (Allen key only)
No need for on-site cable pressing equipment, making field repairs practical
Cables can be released and removed without cutting
Cable lengths can be shortened or extended during maintenance or adjustment
No threaded gland screws on mast tubes avoids thread stripping issues found in older designs
Fixed pulley shafts no shimming or realignment needed after maintenance
Eliminates post-repair alignment problems common in legacy mast designs
Lifting cables and power transmission belts can be replaced without full mast disassembly
