HDO Series Telescopic Masts
The HDO Series telescopic masts are the earliest winch-operated mast designs manufactured by Telecommunication Industries. This series is technically equivalent to traditional domestic competitor products and is intended for customers who prioritize lower acquisition cost and do not require the advanced features offered by the MD and HDN Series. Nevertheless, based on the engineering experience gained during the development of the MD and HDN Series, several design optimizations have been implemented on the HDO masts. As a result, the HDO Series offers the following improvements compared to equivalent domestic competitor products:
Supplementary Notes and Ordering Information
The weights shown in the tables indicate only the maximum mast weight and exclude the manual or electric winch, which must be added separately. For capacities above the listed values, or for customized configurations, contact the Company Technical Department. For example, order code HD0-155-7-15 refers to an HDO Series mast with a 155 mm first-tube diameter, 7 telescoping sections, and 15 m extended height. Specifications may change without notice, so request the model-specific technical annex when ordering. Masts with a gravity-descent system require at least a 15 kg external load. The mast must always be symmetrically loaded, as off-center loads can cause serious damage; consult the Technical Department for such applications. Maximum wind-exposed surface area in guyed condition is up to 1 m², and higher lifting capacity can be requested with a larger winch, which may add up to 20 kg weight.
Supplementary Notes and Ordering Information
Listed weights in tables indicate maximum mast weight without winch; manual or electric winch weight must be added separately
MD Series is part of the company’s standard product portfolio
For lifting capacities higher than published values, consult the Technical Department
Example order code: MD-128-6-15 → MD Series mast, 128 mm base tube diameter, 6 telescopic sections, 15 m extended height
Specifications are subject to change without prior notice — request the technical annex for the exact model when ordering
Gravity-descent system models require a minimum external load of 10 kg for proper operation
Symmetrical loading is mandatory; heavy off-center loads can cause structural damage
Off-center loading is allowed only for lightweight payloads
Maximum wind-exposed surface area (guyed): up to 0.8 m²
Lifting capacity can be increased on request using a higher-capacity winch
Upgraded winch configurations may add up to 20 kg extra weight
For loads exceeding catalog values, contact the Technical Department for customized solutions
Maintainability Advantages of the HDN Series
Unlike conventional telescopic masts that often require full replacement after a mechanical failure, the HDN Series is engineered for maximum serviceability, modularity, and reduced downtime.
Key maintainability benefits include:
Modular design allowing complete removal of individual mast tubes and pistons without dismantling lower assemblies
Cable maintenance, adjustment, and replacement without cutting cables or using specialized tools
Full mast disassembly achievable using only standard Allen keys
Redesigned cable anchor system enabling easy cable length adjustment
Tool-free cable disconnection, eliminating on-site crimping or pressing
Fixed pulley axes ensure proper alignment with no need for shimming after maintenance
Elimination of threaded gland fasteners, reducing wear, stripping, and long-term failure risk
Power transmission cables and belts can be replaced without full mast disassembly, significantly minimizing downtime
The HDN Series sets a new standard for maintainability, making field repairs faster, simpler, and far more cost-effective.
